Time Trials is the first meet of the season. This event is used to obtain each swimmer’s base time for each stroke. These times are used to seed swimmers for their first meet, and also aid in the calculation of swimmers' improvements throughout the season. In the event a team member misses Time Trials, their first swim time in any event becomes their base time.

Time Trials is an especially great meet for our new swimmers, as it is a great way for them to get to know what a meet is like in a low pressure environment, with only our team present.

Warm ups start at 8:15 am. 10 and unders will warm up first.

There will be a pancake breakfast on the house for all registered swimmers! Pancakes will be served from 8-9 am. Snack Shack will open at 9:30am.

For 6&Us -- Please declare your availability. The coaching staff will make final determinations of which events each 6&U swims at time trials. Age groups 7 and up -- generally your swimmers will swim all four strokes at Saturday time trials. Entries are ultimately up to the coaching staff and subject to change.

The Stroke and Turn officials will be following the league rules (you can find those in the league "Rules of Competition" handbook here: https://diablocommunityswimleague.org/league-rule... for disqualification policies. It is in the best interest of our swimmers to have an accurate time based off of a *legal* lap of any given stroke for future seeding purposes. Early season warnings / Disqualifications should not be seen as a negative outcome but as an opportunity for your swimmers to work on stroke technique such that they have a legal stroke for future meets, where they can improve their official times and ultimately score points for the Dolphins at our league championships! 

IM time trials are for swimmers age 7 and older who are ready to swim the individual medley event. 6&U will still have practice as scheduled from 3:30pm-4pm; Age 7 and up will not have regular practice due to time trials.Warm-ups will be held from 4pm-4:30pm and we will start IM heats shortly thereafter. IMs are an optional event, and swimmers are not required to participate in IM time trials, especially if they do not feel ready, or if it is their first year on swim team.

During IMs, there will be pizza for sale as a fundraiser to support social activities throughout the summer! So even if your child is not swimming the IM, please consider attending to grab a slice, hangout, and support the team!!
