Important information about Spring Clinic:

  • Clinic is not restricted to Livorna swimmers. There are a limited number of spaces available in each age group session so register early.
  • Please note that we will have minimal in-water assistance during Spring Clinic. Swimmers should have at least one season of swim team experience or prior approval from Coach Matt or Coach Claire.
  • During Spring Clinic, the coaches will be focusing primarily on stroke technique. Each week will focus on a different stroke and/or a different technique (eg. streamlines, flip turns, diving), depending on age group.
  • Spring Clinic Practice times (4 days per week, Monday-Thursday):
    • 6 under: 4pm-4:30pm
    • 7/8 : 4pm-4:45pm (note the 7/8s will share the pool with the 6 & unders for the first half hour)
    • 9/10 : 4:45pm-5:30pm
    • 11+: 5:30pm-6:15pm
  • Swimmers need to be on deck ready to swim 10 minutes before practice starts.
  • Clinic is held if it is raining. Practice will be canceled only if there is thunder or lightning in the forecast or if the visibility in the water is poor due to extremely heavy rain. Participants will be notified via email prior to practice in the event of a cancellation.
  • Equipment:
    • Swimmers should wear appropriate swimsuits (jammers or speedos for boys), caps and goggles.
    • Fins: All swimmers should bring their own long-blade training fins to practice each day. Please be sure to label them!
    • 9&Up swimmers also need swim paddles.
    • Water: It's important to stay hydrated during practice, so please bring a water bottle to your lane.
  • No refunds will be given after March 3, 2024. We do not prorate for missed days.

Development Clinic

In 2024 and 2025 we were able to offer an additional clinic we called our "Development Clinic", which was specifically meant for swimmers who were not quite swim team ready at the beginning of March, but potentially could be so by try outs in April with some extra help. By offering this clinic, we hoped to give swimmers on the cusp the boost they needed to join the full team, and indeed many Development Clinic swimmers successfully joined our summer team!

We are hoping to also offer this in 2026, but this depends on our ability to appropriately staff this clinic, which depends on evolving schedules! Please check back closer to January for more information on a potential 2026 Development Clinic!
