Livorna Dolphins Swim Team

Welcome to the Livorna Dolphins 2026 Swim Team season!

Our Head Coach, Matt Struempf, and Assistant Coach, Claire Copeland, and staff are excited to announce the Livorna 2026 Swim Team Season! We are looking forward to an awesome season full of fun, growth, and friendships! The season will run from April 13 to July 26, 2026.

Registration

Registration opens Monday, February 23, 2026 for HOA members and returning swimmers! Non-member registration will open Monday March 2nd, 2026. Register early as we expect some age groups to sell out this year.

(If you are not sure if your swimmer is ready for swim team, we still suggest registering early, to secure your spot - if your swimmer is not yet ready for the full team, refunds will be available, including the option of diverting your fees to Junior Dolphins, with a refund of the different in price. No previous swim team experience is required to become a Dolphin!)

Swim team ready?

New swimmers should be able to:

1. Submerge their face in the water and blow bubbles
2. Hold on to the wall with one hand, listen and follow directions
3. Swim 10 meters with minimal assistance

If you believe your swimmer can do these skills or they are close to being able to and you would like to join the team, please register them. After registering you will be invited to attend a trial swim on Tuesday, March 10th from 3:30-4 to determine if they are water safe.

If you believe your swimmer can do these skills or they are close to being able to and you would like to join the team, please register them - there will be refund options available after Tryouts, including the option of joining Junior Dolphins.

Practice times 2026 (these times are subject to change based on several factors, including coach availability and capacity):

(Monday thru Friday)

April 13 - June 3 (no practice on May 8th (IM Time trials), May 20th (due to a meet), May 25th (Memorial Day), May 27th (due to a meet), June 4th (last day of school)

• 6 & Under: 3:45 - 4:15 PM
• 7/8: 4:15 - 5:00 PM
• 9/10: 5:00-6:00 PM
• 11 & ups: 6:00-7:00 PM

June 5 - July 24 (no practice on 7/2-7/3)

• 11/12: 8:00-9:00 AM
• 13 and ups: 9:00-10:15 AM
• 9/10 : 10:15-11:15 AM
• 7/8: 11:15 AM -12:00 PM
• 6 and under: 12:00-12:30 PM

*Limited capacity afternoon practices will be available starting in June for those swimmers who are unable to attend morning practices.

We look forward to you joining us this 2026 season! As you register, please pay special attention to the following notes:

• If you reside in Livorna Estates, you are required to be a member of the PHHA pool where Livorna swims. If you reside in the Unit 1 or Bridle region of Livorna Estates, you are also required to join PHHA/become a member of the pool in order to participate in swim team. Please visit "Subdivision Map" on the Livorna Estates website to confirm if your home is located in Unit 1/Bridle region of Livorna Estates. If you would like to join the HOA, please contact [email protected]. PHHA dues need to be paid prior to the first swim meet. Please pay your dues promptly as your swimmer will not be able to participate in meets until dues are paid. Please allow up to 2 weeks for processing.
• If you are a member of the pool used for Livorna swim team, the cost is different than for Non-Members. Please choose the correct option carefully for your family. If you would like to become a PHHA/ Pool Member, please contact [email protected].  
• If you are a pool member (PHHA member) and are new to the swim team, you are eligible to register on 2/23/26.
• There are swim team volunteer job requirements for all families. See our jobs information located in the Swim Team Overview document found on the website for more information. The DCSL meet will be a TWO DAY meet this year, and will require a volunteer commitment from all participating families.
• Team suits are not included in the registration cost. All swimmers will be required to bring swim fins (long blade preferred) to all practices. Each swimmer will receive a team t-shirt at Time Trials.
• More information is available on the Swim Team Overview tab of the Website. PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION ON THIS TAB PRIOR TO REGISTRATION
• VERY IMPORTANT: If you are a returning Livorna family, please register with the email address that you have used previously. This will avoid duplicate records for your swimmers. If you would like to change your email address, please log into the system using your current email/password and make the change prior to registering. Each family can only have one account.
• Refunds of season registration fees paid, minus a $100 charge, are available to all swimmers for the first week after pre-season practice begins. Once this deadline passes, no refunds of any kind will be given.
